Here at Philly Girls Baseball, we believe that celebrating our awesome girls and women in baseball in a positive way on our social media inspires other athletes.

Instagram is our primary social media platform, with connections to Facebook and TikTok.

If you accomplish something amazing, we want to know about it and share it to support your growth.

Examples: Selection to a baseball event such as the Trailblazer Series or BFA Ambassador Program, making your high school baseball team, hitting an over the fence home run, obtaining umpire certification, mentoring or coaching younger players, a truly impressive epic play, an example of exemplary sports(wo)manship, meeting a baseball heroine, and more!

Submitting an announcement does not guarantee we can post.

Submission tips:

• Be clear and concise in your information.

• Include links wherever possible.

• Include social media handles and hashtags.

• Provide photos and video for us to consider. 1-3 great images are better than a full album.

• Avoid any requests that PGB post player stats. If you request that we announce a particular game event, provide a link to verifiable information.

• Please be patient and polite as our volunteers work hard to celebrate you!

General Guidelines include but are not limited to:

• We typically post players first name and last initials.

• We may link to a player’s instagram handle if they are over age 13 or if their account is clearly monitored by a parent.

• We may not be able to post events and activities or accomplishments for youth players if they occur during school hours, or if your player missed school (unexcused absences).

• We attempt to bundle announcements based on topic. We take a program and player first approach (for example, one social media post announcing 3 players making their all star teams instead of individual posts).

• We discourage emphasizing statistics and may not post them unless they are supported by positive additional mission-driven updates, and are verifiable. (For example, if you submit “hitting for the cycle” we will cross check the GameChanger box scores from both teams or official box score from the league or tournament to ensure that each hit was scored.

• We will not post GameChanger Recaps.

• We typically do not post making a travel team.
