This form is for new and returning players to commit to participating in tournaments. Please fill in your interest and availability regardless of your ability to pay. We will do our best to work with players in need of financial assistance with fundraising and scholarships.
Roster Assignments:
New Players: PGB coaches will evaluate new players in person or remotely to determine that a player can safely compete at a tournament level of play prior to assigning a player to a roster.
Returning Players: Players will be assigned a team and division placement by PGB coaches on an individual tournament basis.
PGB uses flex coaching and flex rosters (e.g. in one season, a competitive 12 year old may play 12U minors, 12U majors, and 14U depending on the individual tournament divisions and overall roster numbers). Players will generally be placed in the lowest eligible age division unless needed for other team rosters. We take a program first approach and we do not take any requests from parents or players to “Play Up.” PGB coaches make determinations based on PGB’s policies and safe playing criteria.
Commitment:
By answering Yes to tournaments listed in this form, Philly Girls Baseball will include your player in our overall counts for the team rosters, and we are relying on your player in our overall counts. Players who commit to a tournament are expected to play.
A parent, guardian, or other responsible adult must travel with your player. If your player travels with another PGB family, you must submit a permission form (provided closer to tournament dates)
You agree to help with fundraising or other volunteer efforts.
Local players will attend practices in Philadelphia. We will work with families to mitigate conflicts with other baseball teams.
You agree to abide by our parent and player codes of conduct and our recruitment policy.
If your girl plays baseball, we know she is awesome and we can’t wait to see her on the field!
